One of a kind chess set made in collaboration with Kim Mullis of Wilderness Bodies.

Each board is crafted by carefully layering and collaging acrylic acetate into the classic checkerboard pattern. The boarder of the board is decorated with symbols, that are found throughout Kim’s work. The bottom of each board is laminated in recycled rubber.

The pieces are individually thrown on the wheel and hand-built. They are each a unique interpretation of the classic chess set. One side is glazed with the standard Recreation Center black and white speckled glaze and the other side in sage green.
